This Holiday Edition of our update brings you pictures from Met-Art, FemJoy, Joymii, MPL Studios, Errotica-Archives, and MC-Nudes! Some of these updates have been added to our exclusive Fusker collections even before they become generally available!

We spoke with Met-Models and are excited to announce that the lack of updates recently is because of a major site overhaul which in underway! Met-Models will soon complete their updates and once again be bringing you the girl next door content you've come to rely on them for.

The LSG Models affiliate website has been down for the last week and their free hosted galleries went with it. We've attempted to contact LSG Models to determine the cause and when/if the content will become available again.

From T through Z we've added the last portion of the current LSG Model archive pictorials to our exclusive free image fusker collection file!

This image of Vikki (with 2 K's) was our favorite from this update showing exactly why we loved collecting the archives from this top tier publisher! With 565 pictorials and just over 9,000 images the archives represent a solid collection.

We are a bit disappointed that LSG doesn't seem to be adding new content very quickly. There have been no new pictorials released since they became an affiliate early in November. But we'll continue to watch for updates on the Nude Art & Erotica thumbnail post and update the collection as new pictorials are published.

We've updated the free image fusker collection from Met-Art with images from November 2005 and the one from MPL with images from November 2010!

We found these 48 Met-Art pictorials in the archives from November 2005 and have added them to the bottom of the free image Met-Art fusker collection. Check for them in the generated_gallery/trial directory under the hosted.met-art.com server.

Another featured pictorial of Monika tops our list in this update from a little over a year ago. These pictorials are all "Perfect 10's" and fall into the "10" directory in the collection. They have been sorted with the pervious list of pictorials from 2010 such that pictorials of each model are grouped together.

This is the first pictorial of Monika to be added to the collection from 2010 but makes her 13th pictorial in the collection!

Checking the integrity of the Met-Art free image fusker collection we are pleased to report the collection is still fully valid with each of the 48,708 image references still valid!

We also found 50 great pictorials from 6 years ago when Met-Art was a young start up publisher on the World Wide Web. Knowing any serious collector would appreciate all the retro pictorials we added them to the fusker collection. These pictorials all fell within the hosted.met-art.com/generated_gallery directory - where there were previously a small number of pictorials. We've moved this directory to the bottom of the hosted.met-art.com segment in the full collection, so if you download the full collection look for them at the very bottom of the collection tree when you expand hosted.met-art.com.

With this update we start walking back through 2010 adding the full set of pictorials from December a year ago. As it happens there was no overlap with the 3 pictorials we already had in the 2010 portion of the collection so all 16 are new to us!

The featured pictorial of Valentina will leave you craving chocolate, but all of the pictorials are just as sweet!

These pictorials fall into the "10" directory in the collection and have been sorted in to the pervious list of pictorials from 2010 such that pictorials of each model are grouped together. Wow - we just realized the full extent of the recent changes to use GUID image directory and file names... They've gone through their entire Member's Only content and renamed every image. Placed them in a different directory structure...!!

To the typical Met-Art subscriber not much would seem all that different except the zip files of images you might download. To Surfing After Dark it means the collection we painstakingly pieced together over two years with direct references to over 500,000 images has been rendered completely useless...

So... what now? Well, we start over. If anything the Image Surfer Pro fusker collection file will be all that more valuable now that each image has a GUID for a file name, mapping them out will be all that more valuable.

Bare with us as we re-create the Met-Art Member collection... If you click on the link you'll see the collection is now empty - new updates will be coming soon!

The Image Surfer Pro staff had to do a double take on this last release. Seems there was an issue with how the collection files were written or read in the latest release. We found this out making our weekly updates and convinced them to work the patch as a priority!

While it was a disappointment, we'll give them credit for figuring out the issue, making the change and releasing the patch in roughly 24hrs. We've downloaded our new copy and it installed easily over the previous release and we've tested against the very same files which located the problem.

The MPL Studios master collection file was corrupted by the Image Surfer Pro issue, so we had to recreate the file - the latest version was created with the patched version and you will probably need to download the patch in order to utilize that file. We spot checked the other collection files ranging back through all versions of Image Surfer Pro and had no issue accessing their data with the patch release - so it appears to have only corrupted this single file.

As a reminder, there were several outstanding features and fixes in the overall release. Including:
  • New Status Bar No more big blue bar and instant access to the number of images and pictorials
  • Improved Organizer/List Editors Allow you to alphabetize and sort entries quickly
  • Unlimited List Size Fix that removes the 1,000 byte limit that was causing a crash for us

From their home page free tour we noticed there was a great 97 image pictorial of Iveta in three resolutions. Small loads faster and may be suitable for large image collections where disk space is critical. Medium is the standard size of a lot of sample images seen on the web at 1200 pixels. Large isn't quite the full extent of what is available to Errotica-Archive members - but if you want to see every detail is definitely shows resolution does for you. Word of warning - set the number of images per page to a small number (like 5) to view the large images as they are 4,000 pixel resolution... and if you think that is large, just think what a subscription would get you where their images are published in 7,000 pixel resolution!

]]> Mon, 12 Sep 2011 03:00:00 <![CDATA[Image Surfer Pro 1.4 - OMG!]]> We spent the whole weekend testing out and playing with the latest release of Image Surfer Pro and the new Thumbnail Post and Forms format of the pages generated by BAM! These new features take all the pain out of building the collection updates where the images are stored with GUID names (such as recently happened with the Met-Art free collection)

The new release seems more robust and stable as we hop around the web going from site to site and seeing how different thumbnail posts relate to the new features. As expected, not every page works with the Thumbs Up button, but the number that do was really surprising. The new table format of the pages generated by BAM makeas it much easier to be sure of where you are navigating and to see how some posts work better than others.

The simple features such as resizable list and organizer windows make the tool more usable for our large collections. We have been bitten from time to time by the file updates not saving (though it wasn't all the time which made it hard to understand) and that seems to be cured as well.

Each release of Image Surfer Pro is a definite improvement, but this feature rich release has had the biggest effect on how we operate... The new features are more than worth the upgrading from the free version which is basically a free viewer.

We got so distracted by the new release and the September 11th anniversary that we didn't get the free collection updates out this weekend. They will be available in the previous version 1.3 file format, but starting next weekend, the collections wills start to update to version 1.4 - Click the Image Surfer Pro logo and get your update now so you don't miss any updates!

]]> Sat, 3 Sep 2011 17:55:00 <![CDATA[New Met-Art Hosting Site!]]> If you've been watching the Nude Art & Erotica thumbnail post you've noticed that Met-Art has made a significant change to how they publish free sample images. They are now hosted at http://fhg.met-art.com rather than http://hosted.met-art.com. But even more significantly, they have changed their file naming to put each pictorial in a globally unique identified directory and every image in the directories is also given another globally unique identifier!! This change was so dramatic it caused them to take a week off and not publish any new content two weeks ago!

Why would they do this? We have no idea - but it will sure create a problem for most Fusker software - that is there are no more numerical sequences! Seems a steep price to pay for the tiny bit of satisfaction that must have brought to them as now their entire site has to be managed through complex databases... what a waste!

But we don't use typical Fusker software - we use Image Surfer Pro and it doesn't care if there is a numerical sequence! You'll see that in this update all 71 Pictorials published in the last three weeks are in the this update. Each pictorial is held in a List of Images rather than the normal numerical file type, but to our surfers it makes no difference, down load the update as usual and all the images are there just like they always are!

]]> Wed, 11 May 2011 00:15:00 <![CDATA[Image Surfer Pro Release 1.3 Arrives!]]> Image Surfer Pro has made their latest release. Version 1.3 comes with some nifty new features and with our behind the scenes access we can tell you there are some exciting features coming in the next few releases.

You'll notice they've fixed the issue with IE8 crashing sometimes when you closed a window. This was never a deal breaker for us as we just made sure the Image Surfer Pro window was closed before we closed the IE8 window.

The feature we like the best is the new Segment Editor. The ability to sort the directories makes a big difference in building the collections hosted on Surfing After Dark.

All new updates posted on Surfing After Dark will be saved in the 1.3 file format and as each collection is updated, the master collection file will also be in this format. Your previous version of Image Surfer Pro won't be able to read these collection files... Click the Image Surfer Pro logo and get your update now so you don't miss any updates!
